Practical guide · Payout timing

Payment success and payout arrival are different milestones.

Payout planning starts by separating what happened to a payment from when funds can be released and when they reach a destination. Instant payouts are available to eligible merchants; the applicable conditions come from your account terms.

Follow four separate milestones

  1. Payment status. A payment record tells you the outcome of the payment; it does not promise immediate payout availability.
  2. Funds eligibility. Your payout type, schedule, reserves, and other account conditions determine which funds can be released.
  3. Payout dispatch. Eligible funds are sent through the configured payout method under the agreed conditions.
  4. Arrival. The payout method and destination affect when the funds arrive. Confirm expected arrival separately from release.

Reserves, holds, refunds, disputes, and settlement timing can affect available funds. Ask which conditions apply to your merchant account.

An illustrative planning example

A business receives a successful payment and needs to pay a supplier. Before committing to the supplier date, its operator checks funds eligibility, the configured payout schedule, and the expected destination arrival. If some funds are reserved or not yet eligible, the operator plans around the available amount. No specific amount, delay, or arrival time is implied by this example.

Use separate entries in your cash-flow plan for payment receipts and expected payout arrival. If a payout is later than expected, identify the milestone still outstanding before asking the team to investigate.

Questions to confirm before going live

  • Which payout type and schedule apply to this merchant account?
  • What conditions make funds eligible, and what reserves or holds may apply?
  • Which bank or digital-asset destinations are enabled, and what setup is required?
  • Which payout currency or asset is supported, and are conversion terms relevant?
  • What is the expected arrival after dispatch for the selected method?
  • Which records should your team use to review a payout question?

All 139 supported currencies are enabled for payments. This does not promise payout in every payment currency or establish merchant-country eligibility. Review the payment currency list and confirm your intended payout separately.

Common questions

Does “from instant” apply to every payment?

No. Instant payouts are an option for eligible merchants. Payment status, eligibility, dispatch, and arrival remain separate steps, governed by account terms and the payout method.

Can I receive payouts in all 139 payment currencies?

The payment acceptance list is not a payout currency list. Confirm the enabled destination, currency or asset, and any conversion terms for your account.

What should I prepare for a payout question?

Identify the relevant payment or payout record in your merchant tools, the expected milestone, and the agreed schedule or method. Share sensitive account information only through an appropriate support channel, not a public page.
